For those of you wondering…

Written by CCD News.

hediditIf you came here in the last few days you may have seen a parked Godaddy page. I apologize for that. I've been mulling over whether to keep Climate Change Dispatch alive and running after Labor day.

As I've been telling some people, I had to park Climate Change Dispatch so I could focus on other priorities (which are personal and I won't get into here). As a labor of love, I simply didn't have the time to give it the attention it deserves. I was going to make a post regarding its closure but decided to "park it" in case things changed personally and professionally.

Anthony Watts recommended I make an announcement, which you are now reading. But having to close up shop is a rather sad affair for myself and, I would hope, my regular visitors. So after some thought, I've decided not to spread out too thinly I've decided to take a short break. Having watched some of my favorite sites simply disappear or become abandoned didn't seem fair to their visitors so I won't do that now.

I'll poke in now and again to share with you topical stories, and keep my Facebook timeline regularly updated.

Feel free to use the contact page to send story links. And of course feel free to post comments and story links below. And again, sorry for the confusion. :(

It is so important what you are doing. The more voices the better. Each site and perspective adds weight. Please don't quit.

I look at your site everyday. Thank-you!

I hope you won't discontinue CCD. Yours was the first blog that I learned from, probably because back in 2007 I typed "climate change fraud" into the search engine. Yours is still a great resource, and has been a real joy.

Yes, I know I never sent any money. It's my own goddam fault. I hope you continue. Maybe someone could help do the work.

Thanks, Steve. All Ad revenue is down across the internet because so many sites use google ads or adbrite, so the site really does rely on donations from people. Sadly, there are so many tip jars out there even I have trouble affording donations to some of my favorite sites. But again, thanks for the kind words. They mean a lot.

Thomas

Hopefully not just kind words from now on. I now have a promise of (permanant?) employement for the first time in 3 1/2 years. I'm going to wait until I get my first paycheck before I send any money tho.

Hi, This site is so important. with out it the voice's of the sceptics have nowhere to be heard. The media and internet is full of rubbish this site is one of the bastion of Climate Sanity. Please keep it up, GWPF, and others were down over the last couple of days it started to look dodgy.

Please keep CCD any way you can!
It is a bastion of freedom and a refuge for truth in science. This is vital to us who are swamped daily with a flood of idiotic propaganda which we all know is designed to destroy our ways of life.

Please advise how we can establish a grass roots method to keep CCD on the tracks.

I'm still recovering from The daily Bayonet going AWOL. I hope you dont go walkabout too.

But if you need a break good luck to you.

I have enjoyed the many articles you brought to my attention, it's been an education. WUWT is a great site, but your site rocks!

I really miss dailybayonet.com . The "Global Warming Hoax Weekly Round-up" made me laugh every week at the wacky alarmists. His sense of humor is great. I really hope that he starts blogging again.

Thanks everyone for your kind words. Based on user feedback and emails, I'm going to stick around a little while longer. ;) I can't promise daily posts but I'll try and get good stuff out to all of you. Thanks again. It was the boost of kind words that I think I needed most to keep me motivated and find the time.

Hi Thomas, I was devastated when I thought the site had been totally taken down, I have tried to donate many times, however, my debit card is not acceptable on your site. The articles over the years have been fantastic, just brilliant, and I have always felt proud to be part of a community who does not ban anyone for giving their views unlike many AGW sites. Have a wonderful break, no matter what is going on in your life just remember you have opened a lot of peoples eyes and minds.

Hi Anne,
The clip of David Suzuki says it all. He describes people as maggots ranging from first level to tenth level. Tenth level maggots are huge and can crush all the lower levels. I wonder which level he regards himself as being on?

Wow just so deep! What lateral thinking powers. He was studying fruit flies at the time.

he must regard the people who follow this climate religion as level one maggots! I wonder if he regards these people as 10th level maggots - Frank Abagnale (born 1948)Charles Ponzi (1882 - 1949) Eduardo de Valfierno Victor Lustig (1890 - 1947) Joseph Weil (1877 - 1975)

Yeah I remember Tory Aardvark -- he put a totally fact-free article regarding 14,000 wind mills rusting in the wind a few months ago and then pointed me to other blogs at his proof. Sound familiar? Turns out he was totally wrong of course. And along the way were the usually fruitcake responses about gazillionas of birds dying discovered, no doubt, on a different denialist website. Another delusional fallacy, of course.

BTW, have you been following the news of John OMG'Sullivan? You can't make this up or, actually, you do.

Hi Thomas,

I appreciate the time and effort you have provided to educate me and millions of others.

Your site represents far more than its content. It is a site of hope and inspiration to pursue truth in a war of ideology masked as science.

If you can do it, please carry on. You have accomplished so much and I thank you.

As a result of your site, our kids now know there is another perspective to that of the propaganda being forced on them at school. They aren’t afraid of standing up to it because of your effort.

Gator,
I am so glad you have kept online. Those Clinical Psychologists studying the effects of drug abuse at early age and the development of conspiracy psychosis later in life would have had to throw out years of their work.

Stay online and do your bit for mental health. (Too late for many of you , but future generations will appreciate it).

And how could I say I told you so, if you aren't here? Remember I made 3 predictions (and no one wanted to bet me).
1) July will be in the top ten of historical high temperatures. Check.
2) Arctic Ice will be at an all time low in 2012 (remember all those articles and comments of yours and your readers in April regarding EXTENT and I had to educate you about VOLUME? So funny now.) check.
3) We have to wait a bit for the peer-review of Anthony Watt's sloppy and incomplete rehash of surface station temps. Remember I said that it would be shown to be faulty and at odds with all the other studies INCLUDING satellite records.

Well, anyway I am 2 of 2 for the moment, which means that if I move the decimal point this way and reverse the integer, carry the prime number and divide by pi I get. . . 100%!!!

Drewski wins again!
