Have read recently a book about Hazel living down here in NZ it had not ever crossed my thoughts of that sort of weather in some where like Toronto in that book it seemed that communications of what was happening was the largest problem unlike the warnings we get in this day and age.

My grandfather's nickname was "Hurricane", and actually it was a given out of respect and gratitude. I wish I had known him, the stories about him are like something right out of a movie.

There is a troll on another page blustering on about the storm... :zzz

Why don't they just go ahead and assign these storms the names they would really like to give them like "Godzilla", "Beelzebub", "Genghis Khan" or "Obama"? OK, now I just scared myself.

Lived in the tropics of North QLD and lived through many Cyclone events the thing about the warnings we get now means the death rate for all these events is less and less so the GORETHONS internet is very usefull afterall.
