James Hansen (NASA) Admits Global Temperature Standstill Is Real

The GWPF has been right all along. In a new report Hansen, Sato and Ruedy (2013) acknowledge the existence of a standstill in global temperature lasting a decade. This is a welcome contribution to the study of global temperature. When others reached the same conclusion they have been ridiculed; so this admission should provide some pause for reflection by those who have attacked the very idea of a recent temperature standstill, often without understanding the data, focusing on who was making the argument and their alleged non-scientific motives. The two major US temperature databases have released their consolidated results for 2012, and as had been expected, global warming has failed to occur for approximately the fourteenth year running. One of the US agencies downgraded 2012 to tenth-hottest ever: it had been on track to rank as 9th hottest. Arctic sea ice extent today is, for all practical purposes, back to normal! That return to normal only means one thing. The “dramatic melt” of August 2012 had to have been reversed completely by an equally dramatic refreeze this winter. According to a dynamic summary report on the home page of the IUCN/SSC Polar Bear Specialist Group website called State of the Polar Bear, there are now 22,600-32,000 polar bears worldwide, when tallied by nation. This is a big change from the 20,000-25,000 that has been touted as the global polar bear population since 2005. Lord Lawson has accused Sir David Attenborough of ‘sensationalism’ as he focuses on the effects of global warming on the Polar regions during the finale of Frozen Planet. In the final episode of the popular series, Sir David claims that the Arctic could be ice free in summer by 2020 and polar bears are already dying due to a lack of ice. Writing in the Radio Times, Lord Lawson points out that certain populations of polar bears are rising and that sea ice cover is in fact increasing in Antarctica. “Sir David Attenborough is one of our finest journalists and a great expert on animal life. The point which Geoff and I make is that the "33 degrees of warming" supposedly caused by water vapour and carbon dioxide etc was already there due to the effect of gravity on the atmosphere. This happens on all planets, and also fully explains why the poles of Venus are over 720K, even though they receive less than 1W/m^2 of direct insolation from the Sun. Global surface temperature in 2012 was +0.56°C (1°F) warmer than the 1951-1980
base period average, despite much of the year being affected by a strong La Nina.
GLOBAL TEMPERATURE CONTINUES AT A HIGH LEVEL that is sufficient to cause a substantial increase in the frequency of extreme warm anomalies. The 5-year mean global temperature has been flat for a decade, which we interpret as a
combination of natural variability and a slowdown in the growth rate of the net climate forcing. . . . These short-term
global fluctuations are associated principally with natural oscillations of tropical Pacific sea surface temperatures. 2012 is nominally the 9th warmest year, but it is indistinguishable in rank with several other years, as shown by the error estimate for comparing nearby years. It is simply amazing how many lies sCeptics will accept or how many unqualified or downright liars you will listen to in order to feed this anti-science dogma of yours.
He also won't admit his failed predictions or his "Adjustments" to the data.

By the way, Jokerville i.e. the village where me and Mrs Joker live, was cut off by snow this weekend, we have lived here for 9 years and it has snowed heavily every year, the last three years has been particularly heavy and we always get cut off, sometimes for 3-4 days.
You warmist guys predicted that snow would be a thing of the past in 2000.
