World Meteorological Organization Exposed in Shocking Greenhouse Gas Fraud

Written by John OSullivan, PSI.

AERI Infrared ThermometerSweden’s leading math professor has uncovered what appears to be a major scientific deception perpetrated by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) concerning a device that supposedly "proves" the greenhouse gas effect of global warming is real. Professor Claes Johnson has discovered that infrared thermometer manufacturers have been calibrating their devices to a WMO measure known to have little reliability and may even be bogus. Johnson calls the device a “fabricated product.”

Professor Johnson, a skeptic of man-made global warming claims, says he has found a fatal flaw in key instrumentation that supposedly measures, and thus proves, the radiation emitted because of of the “greenhouse gas effect” (GHE) which is calibrated in Watts. These instruments are used for scientific measurements of outdoor downward atmospheric long-wave radiation- the supposed source of the GHE’s added heating mechanism.

Johnson performed detailed research into the thermometers of one leading manufacturers of IRT’s  Kipp&Zonen pyrgeometers, with their model CGR 4. Kipp & Zonen describe their CGR4 thermometers as having “extremely high reliability and accuracy.” But as Johnson discovered, this is a bogus and perhaps intentionally fraudulent claim.

The stunned professor laments, “There is no reason to believe that the fabricated "radiance product" has anything to do with reality. There is good reason to believe that we the people are deceived by government scientists. But if science can be used to deceive, science can also be used to reveal deception.”

Sweden’s most cited math professor says, “We read that the pyrgeometer measures a voltage proportional to net absorbed radiation, from which "by calculation" a quantity named "downward long-wave radiation DLR" is derived.” But is it?

Johnson tells us that the basic idea for a GHE measurement is from "atmospheric re-emission" by in particular carbon dioxide (CO2), which is claimed to be a "greenhouse gas.” By using the CGR4 thermometer it is possible to see a warming effect from DLR of about 4 W/srm2 per micrometer at a wavelength of 15 micrometer where the trace gas CO2 is emitting/absorbing.

However, after carefully crunching the numbers Johnson has spotted a monumental error. The pyrometer has been calibrated using a bungled calculation of the Stefan-Boltzmann (S-B) Law. The Swedish math professor from RTH claims, “The consequences for climate alarmism, and Kipp&Zonen are far-reaching.”

Digging deeper Johnson found that the S-B numbers Kipp&Zonen (and other manufacturers) used were taken from Guide to Meteorological Instruments and Methods of Observation issued by the World Meteorological Organization  (section 7.4.3 formula (7.17).  However, the Swedish math genius uncovered that “No scientific reference to (7.17) is given by WMO. So Kipp&Zonen uses a formula issued by WMO without scientific support.”

But it gets worse! The WMO admit this whole area of science is not actually known. In section 7.4.3 of their aforementioned document the WMO claimed that: “Over the last decade, significant advances have been made in the measurement of terrestrial radiation by pyrgeometers, which block out solar radiation. Nevertheless, the measurement of terrestrial radiation is still more difficult and less understood than the measurement of solar irradiance.”

The big question Johnson now poses is who is responsible for this deception? “ I think this is an interesting case concerning the responsibility of scientists and scientific institutions, and commercial actors relying on the science. It is clear that in medicine or building technology there are those who are held responsible. It must be so also in atmospherics science. I will ask WMO for the scientific source and report the answer,” said the professor.

I don't see this as a deliberate conspiracy, but just another example of the sloppiness required to keep this failed hypothesis alive. Instead of rigorous checking and rechecking, these twits make up a stat, and then delude themselves into thinking it has been verified. This is because they know deep down inside, that AGW does not stand up to the scrutiny of classical science.

I just read the referenced WMO guide. We are proving that this B/S exists based upon this POS? Try some experiments. 1. Stand in front of a fire, fireplace, infrared heater, etc, for a few minutes. The side facing the heat gets warm. Now do the same with two or three dollar store mirrors behind you reflecting the heat back toward you. You get warmer. 2. Do the same experiment with nothing more than a light source, both sides of you receive light. 3. Go out to the beach and spend a while in the sun. Have a partner spend the same amount of time in the sun in a grassy park. Who gets the reddest? Well, how much of the "atmospheric re-emission” they are measuring is actually reflected radiation from warm objects, buildings, lights, etc. being reflected by the “haze” or even the atoms of oxygen, nitrogen in the sky? You know, the stuff that makes telescopes on earth less sensitive than those in space.
As an Amateur Radio Operator, I am amazed at the things, and phenomena in the sky that reflect radio waves. You say that is radio waves and not IR rays? Well dig out your physics book and you will discover that they are both forms of electromagnetic waves. The sensors they are using (as described in the WMO Guide) will have some degree of sensitivity to essentially ALL forms of the electromagnetic waves they intercept. No where do they describe how to “null” out these unwanted waves. Thus their measurements are worthless.

Continued -
You claim there are not that many other waves that will be received? Well look at the chart of electromagnetic radiation on the FCC web page, or just Google it. There are several powers of ten different electromagnetic waves. They could be receiving interference (noise as far as this detector is concerned) from the DirectTV, SiriusSM, Broadcast TV, phone, GPS, etc., etc., You also need to consider all of the particles spewed off by the sun and either directly intercepted by this worthless POS, or interpreting the radiation given off by some of the atoms in the earth atmosphere that were hit by these particles. Keep in mind that these particles, after leaving the sun, do not move at the speed of light and thus will interfere with the so-called night time "atmospheric re-emission" B/S. We are only talking micro watts and all that takes is pico watts from several of the thousands of sources of electromagnetic radiation in our sky that will interfere with this worthless SCAM device.
During solar storms I have had noise levels of several millivolts on my ham radio receiving antenna. In the 70’s or 80’s some Bell Telephone lab technicians received a Nobel Prize for discovering radio waves from the origins’ of the universe. So don’t tell me it isn’t there and will not affect this SCAM device.

Drewski.
A typical warmist always use misdirection instead of science you sir are a shining example of this!

Professor Claes Johnson did NOT say "greenhouse gases do not exist" He said the death of the IPPC green house gas theory. In a book that exposes the fraudulent science and calculations built into the theory of man-made global warming. A world of difference from your pathetic description and the TRUTH!!

Do however bear in mind that he at least understands himself, "Garbage in, garbage out" is the most accurate description of drewski's thought processes and he said it himself.

Do understand as well that drewski has some odd fetish about O'Sullivan. The rest of us simply ignore him.

Enjoy, I have better things to do than read his (drewski's) drivel.

Apparently "all the world's scientific organizations" huffing and puffing isn't enough bring the skeptic house down.

Pew poll released yesterday puts Global Warming at the very bottom of the list of 21 concerns.

1- Strengthen the economy
2- Improving job situation
3- Reducing budget deficit
…………………………………..
21- Dealing w/global warming
